When it comes to high-end sports cars, there are many options available, especially in the Toyota lineup. Toyota is looking to add another to the mix, and this model looks to blow all others out of the water. Starting at around $300,000, the new GR GT will sit above…far above… the GR86 and GR Corolla. Powered by a new hybrid powertrain, the new GR GT will have you rethinking what a Toyota sports car can be.
Highlights of the GR GT
The GR GT delivers breathtaking performance with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Combined with electric motors, total output exceeds 500 horsepower. The car sprints from 0-60 mph in under three seconds and is said to have a top speed of 200 miles per hour. All-wheel drive ensures maximum traction in every condition, while the ceramic brakes provide exceptional stopping power when needed.
Toyota packed the GR GT with impressive technological features, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument and a 14-inch touchscreen. Wireless smartphone integration comes standard, as does a head-up display, performance data recorder, and the 12-speaker audio system.
Despite its supercar status, safety remains paramount. Advanced driver assistance systems include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and multiple airbags in the event of an emergency. Traction control prevents wheel spin in challenging conditions, while stability control keeps the car composed during tight maneuvers.
