As the benchmark for midsize trucks, the Tacoma has a stellar reputation. For the new model year, that reputation is getting a whole lot better. Now, Toyota has updated the pickup with new powertrains, tech, and trims. The Tacoma also gets a body-on-frame TNGA-F platform for better towing capabilities. If you thought the Tacoma was impressive before, it's much better now, so buy one from Atlanta Toyota.

What's New About the Tacoma?

Out of all the updates, one of the biggest is the introduction of the Trailhunter trim. As an off-road-centric model, the Trailhunter comes with a powerful i-Force Max powertrain for better all-terrain traversals. There are also 33-inch off-road tires, high ground clearance, and skid plates.

On top of a new trim, Toyota has also updated every Tacoma with new powertrain options. A 278-horsepower i-Force Max now powers most. However, the base model uses a new turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. All models also come with an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

Inside the cabin, shoppers will also find an overhauled space. There's now an increased seating position, an updated dash with nicer materials, and higher-resolution screens. While a seven-inch gauge cluster and an eight-inch touchscreen are standard, an optional 14.0-inch display is available. Higher models come standard with a 12.3-inch gauge.
